Columbia, MD / Englewood, NJ (February 2, 2021) – Three Twenty-One Capital Partners is pleased to announce the completion of the sale of Integrated Dental Systems, LLC (“IDS” or “the Company”), a prominent and independent full-service dental sales company, to Biotech Dental, LLC (“Biotech”). The sale was effectuated through a Chapter 11 Section 363 process in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.
Headquartered in Englewood, New Jersey, IDS is a leading specialty distributor of dental surgery products focused on the dental implant market. Boasting strong relationships with dealers and dentists, a highly trained sales force, and impressive training programs for its dental customers, IDS has achieved a highly developed distribution network. After achieving success as an exclusive U.S. distributor for a foreign dental implant manufacturer, the company accelerated the selling of its own private label implants and exited its relationship with the foreign dental implant manufacturer in 2019.
Three Twenty-One Capital Partners (“3-21”) was retained as the exclusive investment banking firm for the purpose of running a process to sell the business. 3-21’s process identified 33 parties, including both strategic acquirers and private equity groups, interested in acquiring the business. This effort ultimately resulted in a court approved sale to Biotech.
Biotech Dental is a leading implant and dentistry material manufacturer serving dental professionals and laboratories. Biotech’s products include dental implants, prostheses, intraoral scans, smile analysis software, customized transparent mouthguards, dental trays, gutters, aesthetic solutions, and various regenerative solutions to facilitate surgical procedures. The sale to Biotech grants IDS a partnership with a prominent manufacturer that can distribute its products through a vast distribution network.
